About Lucy Boston
Lucy Boston was born in England in 1892, and lived to be 97 years old. She designed and made at least twenty amazing patchworks in her long life, but she is more famous as the author of the Green Knowe children's books, for her ancient manor house and garden near Cambridge in England, and for her long, creative old age. But she put together a simple english paper pieced block that has become known as the Lucy Boston POTC Block.
We have developed a club that produces these blocks in kit form.
All of the hard work in choosing and matching fabrics is done for you.
These blocks can be put together in many ways. Here is the original Lucy Boston Patchwork of the Crosses Quilt.
We are currently in production of a book which contains projects that can be made from the kits that we produce using 2 simple shapes - The 1" square and the 1" honeycomb.
Each of our kits contains the papers, fabric and instructions to make each block which measure approximately 8 1/2". Each block can be put together in 4 different combinations. You can choose which layout suits you best. Blocks can be purchased directly from our STORE or you can simply subscribe to the club to ensure you do not miss out on blocks.
You can stay in the club for as long as you like and blocks are sent every 2 weeks
You can build your very own collection of blocks.
Members of the club will be offered a special introductory price of the book once it is released.
Blocks are just $12.00 each.
There is no starting or finish date for this club. We will be producing blocks indefinitely. So how do you join ?
